Course Title: Confined Space Rescue - Unsuccessful without a Group Effort

Objective: This webinar focuses on reviewing and improving your confined space rescue process. This webinar reviews the components of a confined space rescue plan and discusses each of those components in detail. It covers key stakeholders involved in confined space rescue, confined space rescue techniques, PPE and rescue equipment, and training and drill requirements. Throughout this webinar, it will describe strategies to evaluate and improve your confined space rescue process.

Brandon Hody, M.S., CSP, CHSP

Safety and Occupational Health Professional

Mr. Hody has been with the SMCX since 2012, helping support all DoD Services and Agencies. He also has experience conducting industrial hygiene assessments for the Army at CTC. Prior to working at CTC, he worked for a company in private industry, assisting in the management and oversight of the confined space entry program.

Max Bassett, CSP

Senior Safety and Health Professional

Mr. Bassett was a Naval Flight Officer serving 25 years on active duty and then spent 9 years as the Deputy Safety Director for Navy Region Southeast’s 17 shore installations. He has more than 20 years’ experience overseeing and managing confined space programs both while on active duty and then as a federal civilian safety manager. 

Janet Nixon, SMS

Principal Safety Professional

Ms. Nixon has over 20 years in the safety and health profession, including 13 years with the SMCX and 10 years with South Carolina OSHA. While with SC OSHA, she served as the VPP Coordinator and OSHA Training Instructor.
