Objective:
The VPP Assessor Class is intended for personnel serving as VPP assessors, implementers and leaders for their respective installations/commands. It is intended to be similar to training provided to OSHA employees and those acting as “Special Government Employees” who assist OSHA in evaluating VPP Star applicants, with added content on DoD Safety Management System policies and VPP assessment tools. Students will learn how to properly evaluate and help guide an organization’s VPP efforts.

The course will be located off-base at the Advanced Technology and Training Center (Former Publix), at 702 Russell Parkway, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088, (478) 273-6400. Participants must arrange their schedules/travel such that they will attend for the entire duration of the class. The class is tuition-free, but participant labor and travel costs must be paid by the participant’s parent command. Participants should bring personal protective equipment for the final day of the course to be used during worksite walkthroughs. Please bring safety shoes/boots and safety glasses, at a minimum, on the final day.
