Course Title: Hazard Analysis: Identifying Techniques for SMS Success

Course Type: Webinars

Objective: The webinar focuses on the different types of hazard analyses and when to use them. The webinar also discusses management considerations to incorporate into your hazard analysis process, such as training expectations, who to involve, and reassessing analysis findings. In addition, the webinar provides information on how to use hazard analysis results to support your safety management system (SMS) and promote continuous improvement.

Pre-Requisites: The presentation is beneficial to personnel wanting to learn more about hazard analysis methods. Attendees should have a basic understanding of SMS requirements for hazard analysis prior to this webinar. Personnel gaining the most benefit from this presentation may include: • Safety and occupational health (SOH) professionals • Supervisors • SMS Champions • Others with safety and health responsibilities • Project Managers

Ms. Gormish has been with the SMCX since 2012, supporting all DoD Services and Agencies. She also has experience conducting environmental, energy, and resource management projects for CTC clients.



SME:

Brad Renwick, CSP, DoD SMCX Safety & Occupational Health (SOH) Professional

Mr. Renwick has worked for the SMCX for the past 5 years. Prior to that he worked on a contract supporting the Army performing industrial hygiene surveys.

Jim Heidenthal, DoD SMCX Senior SOH Professional

Mr. Heidenthal has worked for the SMCX for the past 10 years. Prior to that he worked in private industry in manufacturing for commercial and Department of Defense Original Equipment Manufacture components.

Mr. Heidenthal is trained in Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, Change Management, and enjoys developing metrics to drive strategic plan success.
