Course Title: Documenting Job Hazard Analyses that "WOW" Safety Professionals

Course Type: Workshops

Objective: This workshop provides information on the importance and purpose of a JHA and shows some examples of JHAs completed by DoD worksites. In addition, the workshop includes activities to take a step-by-step approach in completing a JHA, assisting in breaking down tasks, identifying hazards, and determining control measures.

Pre-Requisites: This workshop is beneficial to personnel wanting to learn more about developing and documenting a hazard analysis. Attendees should have a basic understanding of hazard analysis prior to this workshop. Personnel gaining the most benefit from this presentation may include: • Safety management system (SMS) points-of-contact (POCs) • Safety staff • Supervisors • Employees tasked with helping to develop JHAs
