Course Title: Completing Your VPP Application

Course Type: Workshops

Objective: This workshop focuses on preparing and writing the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Voluntary Protection Programs (VPP) application. This workshop helps you understand the differences between the VPP application and the VPP annual self-evaluation. This workshop informs you on how to retrieve the application template, and identify responsible persons, and reviews the importance of supporting documentation. Workshop activities include evaluating responsible persons, writing language to support a VPP sub-element, and identifying appropriate supporting documentation for your application. This workshop concludes with a discussion on submitting your completed application to your OSHA VPP region.

Pre-Requisites: This introductory-level workshop is beneficial to personnel wanting to learn more about writing the VPP application. Personnel gaining the most benefit from this workshop may include: safety and health (S&H) professionals, safety management system (SMS) points of contact, personnel leading the effort to complete the VPP application, and personnel tasked with writing sections of the VPP application.
