Course Title: Five Solutions to Reduce Fall Hazard Risks

Course Type: Webinars

Objective: This webinar focuses on strategies you can employ at your organization to eliminate or reduce fall hazards. This webinar discusses prevention through design (PtD) concepts, fall hazard risk assessments, the hierarchy of fall protection, and certified active fall protection systems. In addition, the webinar provides information on fall protection training requirements and improvements.

Pre-Requisites: This intermediate-level webinar is beneficial to personnel wanting to learn more about eliminating or preventing fall hazards. Attendees should have a fundamental understanding of fall prevention and protection regulations prior to this webinar. Personnel gaining the most benefit from this presentation may include: Building owners or facilities management; Safety and health (S&H) staff and other personnel involved in identifying, assessing, and controlling fall hazards, to include control selection, design, and implementation; personnel involved in pre-planning and analysis of processes or significant changes in which falls could occur; managers and supervisors overseeing activities with fall hazards; and S&H trainers creating and delivering fall protection training.

Ms. Gormish has been with the SMCX since 2012, supporting all DoD Services and Agencies. She also has experience conducting environmental, energy, and resource management projects for CTC clients.

Brandon Hody, M.S., CSP, CIP – CTC, DoD SMCX Senior Safety and Occupational Health Professional

Mr. Hody has been with CTC since 2012 and the SMCX program for the past 9+ years, helping support many different DoD Services and Agencies. He has helped several sites assess their fall hazard risks and compliance to identify issues and come up with solutions to address potential fall hazards.

Brad Renwick, CSP – CTC, DoD SMCX, Safety & Occupational Health Professional

Mr. Renwick has been with CTC for over 10 years and the SMCX program for 9 years supporting all DoD Services and Agencies. Prior to the SMCX he supported the Army conducting baseline industrial hygiene surveys. He has experience reviewing fall protection plans and training, assessing worksites with possible fall hazards, and providing feasible solutions to ensure compliance with fall protection regulations.
